Dashboard

The Dashboard is the WordPress CMS User Interface

The idea is to make site updates and content management  as easy as possible

The WordPress Dashboard uses icons to access program features

Like “Windows” does for your PC, it offers icons and a point -and-click interface to edit and control your website

The third icon down from the top is a Push-Pin for Posts, which in turn brings up a dropdown submenu of related options just to the right of the selected icon. In this example, that would be: Posts, All Posts, Add New, Categories, Tags, Copy a Post

In the Edit mode, if you want to view the underlying HTML code for a page or post, you still can, via the “text” tab as opposed to the normal “visual” tab.
